Latin America Economy (Part I)

Whilst i am working on a summary for the overview to Latin America, from post-independence to 1930s, here's the economic part of 1910s - 30s, covering both world wars and Great Depression.
It should be noted, though, the Great Depression in LAC is a social-political affair more than an economic affair. This will change when we come to 1970s - 1980s, when Bureaucratic-Authoritarian(BA) regimes are founded more on economic issues, with political coming a close second.

In case you are confused, this is an economic powerpoint, so the next economic powerpoint is about Chicago boy. But topic-wise, we are going into the political side of Great depression.

For now, here's the economic sides of Great Depression. The political side of Great Depression will come next.

About this Blog

This blog is a platform for a tutorial, on the University of Essex's Introduction to Latin American Politics Module, known as GV241 at the time of this entry publishment.

The topics covered, and materials given, will be consistent to the module.

The difference being that, background information beyond the module's coverage will be given here. This is done in order to for you, dear reader(s), to appreciate the real importance of the historical changes and continuities within the continent.

Materials put up here are open for all. If you do find it useful, please do use it. Any errors found on the materials will be mine alone, and will be grateful if you point it out.

Once the tutorial is done, don't leave the blog---I will try my hardest to regularly link news pieces and provide a commentary on them. You are more than welcomed to discuss it!!

Now, the below powerpoint will tell you, what precisely are the topics, and the approaches.
